Digital Art
I've always loved painting and tried to dabble in drawing, but my perfectionism limited how much I could relax and enjoy the process. Dipping my toe into digital illustration has given me more freedom to make mistakes, come up with new ideas for old projects, and no longer worry about eraser marks or too many layers of paint.

Portraits & Illustrations
This digitally-illustrated series features portraits and illustrations which juxtapose minimalism with intricate detail and bright color schemes. I enjoy testing out new styles of art and trying to make different variations of my pieces so I can further develop my style. I try to draw my inspiration from the world around me and the people, places, and things I enjoy most.
Typography
I have always loved words - writing them, reading them, and especially speaking them. I have expressed this love of language through various creative outlets: earning a minor in creative writing, attending literary open mic nights, researching the lyrics behind my favorite songs, and most recently, dabbling in typography. Many of my typography projects tie in another passion of mine, music. I love taking lyrics that stand out to me or hold a special significance and turning them into a visual piece of art, allowing myself and others to connect with the song in a new way.
Home Illustrations
Once a place becomes your home, the memories and experiences last long after you live there. Many beloved homes would be no more than bricks, mortar, windows, and doors without the sentimental meaning we attach to them. These illustrations are my way of commemorating special moments in time when a house became a home -- a thank you to the buildings that shape us from within and offer us warmth and safety from the world outside.
